"One way to quantify environmental impacts is by estimating how many Earths would be needed to sustain the global population if everyone lived a particular lifestyle. One study estimates it would take 5 Earths to support the human population if everyone’s consumption patterns were similar to the average American.”

This will estimate how many Earths it would take to support everyone on the planet, if everyone lived like you. You will probably be surprised at how high your number is given that it is essentially impossible to get this number under one, assuming you live in America. Climate change can feel too large an issue to have any control over, and to an extent this is true, but we do have agency over our own actions, and we can choose to make decisions that will positively impact our world.
